History Bulk Delete does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data. The extension contains no analytics, no telemetry, and no network requests of any kind. It cannot send your information anywhere, because it never contacts a server.
To do its job, the extension reads and deletes:
This access happens only while the extension's popup is open, and only in response to an action you take. The extension has no background process and does nothing when you are not using it.
The only data the extension saves is your list of saved domain presets —
the domain names you choose to keep for reuse. These are stored using Chrome's
storage.sync API.
Please note what that means: Chrome synchronizes this list to your own Google Account so your presets are available on the Chrome installations where you are signed in. That synchronization is performed by Chrome, under your Google Account and your Google privacy settings. The list is never sent to Show Me Labs, and we cannot access it. If you prefer the list not to sync, you can disable extension syncing in Chrome's own sync settings.
Your history and cookie data are never stored by the extension. They are read to display results and deleted at your instruction, and nothing is retained.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
history | To search your history and delete the entries you select. |
cookies | To delete a domain's cookies when you clear that domain. |
storage | To remember your saved domain presets. |
| Host access | Chrome requires host access to delete cookies for a given site. The extension never reads page content and injects no scripts. |
Removing saved presets within the extension deletes them. Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data. Deletions the extension performs on your history and cookies are permanent and cannot be reversed by us or by you.
